Looking at this design in detail it’s easy to see why life expectancy in Victorian Britain was short. They caked themselves to death. They do all look delicious however and as I’m typing this at 5.00pm a nice slice of Apples la Parisienne would be just the ticket. The cake stands are attractive in their own right and there’s a quality to the hand tinted colours that is very appealing. From afar this is almost a geometric neat design making it very wearable.
