OptiMate Cable O-40. M18 SAE flush mount socket to be installed in the instrument panel with cable terminating in a SAE plug. The 18 A / 0.82 mm² cable is rated down to -40 °C so it is ideal for permanent installation on a vehicle that will be used in cold weather. The socket can be used as a replacement for the more expensive DIN socket and plug system (Hella) which is common on BMW Triumph Victory and now on some Ducati motorcycles. Connection to the battery requires a battery cable that terminates in an SAE connector such as the weatherproof OptiMate O-01 battery cable.
