This 13A passive RCD switched double socket is ideal for replacing existing double sockets in favor of an RCD enabled model to protect your circuits from dangerous overloads and power shorts. This RCD works by detecting small changes in the current supplied to the socket if the difference in alternating current increases above the 10mA threshold the device will cut power to the sockets attached appliances as this difference usially indicates a power surge overload short or other dangerous electrical event.
