Down here in Croydon we became very excited when roadwork’s revealed a Roman mosaic floor. Archaeologists were puzzled at first but it soon became clear that it was ancient Britain’s first fried chicken shop. Moving on here we have a very beautiful tessellated pattern with fish camouflaged among rippling waves. Painted in watercolour to add a delicacy. There’s a soft richness to this simple design that belies it sophistication. We’ve produced it on our more casual block with a cutaway cuff and removeable collar stiffeners.
