When I first started my business in the 1980s I would frequent jumble sales for vintage pieces. I had a penchant for Harris Tweed jackets. Ones from the 1940s and 1950s were my favourite. Indestructible but with a very scratchy feel and very thick fabric. Movement could be quite challenging. Our new check jacket is a super modern homage to those classics; this time round though the material is incredibly soft thanks to the addition of cashmere to the wool. Its lightweight too so you’ll hardly notice you’re wearing it. I love the blue overcheck running through the design. We’ve cut it on our more formal block with slanted pockets and a tailored fit.
