The Installation Drill Bit is very robust for formwork. Its drill bit and shank end are screw-connected which ensures a low risk of breakage and improves smooth-running operations. Furthermore its tapered flute offset drill bit and shank ends prevent jamming even in moist wood while maintaining enough power to cut through embedded nails. Equipped with an extra-long shank the bit delivers versatile drilling in multilayer building materials or sandwich materials e.g. for building trade (formwork) and for interior fitting work plumbing heating and electrical installation. It is suitable for use on formwork boards planks beams plasterboard light building materials insulations and metal e.g. metal plates materials sandwiched with steel aluminium or profile sheet. Made from HSS (high-speed steel) the Installation Drill Bit is manufactured to DIN 7490. It has a drill bit tip with chisel edge of 118 degrees. The bit’s cylindrical shank is compatible with all drills with a 13-mm chuck.
