Blade speed is controlled by the variable trigger on the soft grip handle with the electronic 2-speed controls also conveniently placed for comfortable operation when approaching the workpiece from a variety of angles. All Makita reciprocating saws have tool-less blade holders using an easy-to-use twist lock system and the DJR187 is no exception. The new drive train and shorter brushless motor enables the body housing to be reduced making this a compact mobile powerful and lightweight reciprocating saw. The DJR187 also features an integrated LED job light electric brake safety lock-off switch retractable joist hook and tool-less shoe adjustment.
